Kalu Defends Legal Credentials Against Forgery Allegations

Benjamin Kalu, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, has publicly defended his qualifications as a legal practitioner in response to allegations of certificate forgery. The claims were made by the Civil Society Group for Good Governance (CSGGG), which raised concerns about Kalu's attendance at the Nigerian Law School.

Kalu issued a statement through his Chief Press Secretary, Levinu Nwabughiogu, asserting that the allegations are unsubstantiated and that he has undergone multiple examinations throughout his career. He emphasized that the claims are neither proven nor determined by competent authorities.

Kalu's statement comes in light of a press conference organized by the CSGGG, where various allegations were presented, including concerns related to his participation in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). Kalu's response aims to clarify his professional credentials and address the doubts raised by the civil society group.
