Kalu Signs Tinubu's 2027 Nomination Form as Birthday Gift

On May 5, 2026, Benjamin Kalu, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, signed the presidential nomination form for Bola Tinubu, who is seeking re-election in the 2027 general elections. Kalu described this act as a beautiful birthday gift while celebrating his 55th birthday.

The signing took place alongside James Faleke, a member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, and Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Minister of Interior. Kalu expressed that it was a rare privilege to endorse Tinubu's nomination form, emphasizing a commitment to support the president's agenda and work towards national development.

David Umahi, another political figure, also signed a nomination form, indicating a broader commitment to continue consolidating the achievements of Tinubu's administration. The APC has opened the nomination process, with the form valued at N100 million, signaling the commencement of Tinubu's re-election bid ahead of the presidential elections scheduled for January 16, 2027.
