Kano ADC Allocates 60% Leadership to Kwankwaso Bloc

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kano State has decided to allocate 60% of its leadership positions to the bloc associated with former governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. This decision was reached during a stakeholders' meeting where party members deliberated on settling the leadership structure.

ADC chairman Musa Ungogo confirmed that Kwankwaso's camp would receive a larger share, while the remaining 40% would be distributed among existing party members from various political backgrounds, including defectors from the Labour Party, PDP, APC, and SDP. Notably, there are no specific slots reserved for former deputy governor Nasiru Gawuna, who aligns with Kwankwaso.

Ungogo expressed satisfaction with the share formula, stating that all members are happy with the arrangement. He also mentioned that the party is rapidly gaining popularity in Kano, with new members joining from different political parties, including individuals who have previously been inactive in politics.

Ungogo described Kwankwaso's move as a significant boost for the ADC.
