APC Chairman Abducted in Kano, Two Killed in Attack

In a recent attack in Kano State, gunmen abducted Alhaji Abdullahi Fanka, the All Progressives Congress Chairman of Rogo Local Government Area, and killed two individuals who attempted to prevent the abduction. The attack occurred around 11 PM on Monday, with residents fleeing as the gunmen opened fire.

This incident follows the killing of Alhaji Garba Buba, the APC Chairman of Rantan Ward in Bebeji Local Government Area, and another resident, Sulaiman Zunduma, just 24 hours earlier. The Kano State Police Command has initiated an investigation into these incidents, which have heightened security concerns in the area.

The recent spate of violence includes the abduction of Alhaji Yusif Nadabo, the Sarkin Noman Kano, who was rescued by police after a response to an attack in Chiromawa community. Minister of State for Defence, Bello Muhammad Matawalle, announced the development of a five-year defence and security plan in response to these escalating attacks.
