Kano Assembly Confirms Murtala Garo as Deputy Governor

The Kano State House of Assembly has confirmed Murtala Sule Garo as the new Deputy Governor of Kano State. This decision followed a screening process conducted by an ad hoc committee chaired by Deputy Speaker Muhammad Bello, which included a question-and-answer session assessing Garo's educational background, professional experience, and understanding of the state's governance vision.

The confirmation was necessitated by the vacancy created by the resignation of former Deputy Governor Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo. Speaker Jibril Isma'il Falgore presented the committee's report during a plenary session, where lawmakers unanimously approved Garo's nomination through a voice vote.

The assembly reaffirmed its commitment to work with the executive arm of government to promote good governance and development across the state under the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
