Kano Governor Congratulates Yari as APC Campaign DG

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf congratulated Abdul’aziz Yari, the former Governor of Zamfara State and current Senator representing Zamfara West, on his appointment as Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections. The statement was released by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa, and made available to PUNCH Online on a Monday.

Yusuf described Yari’s appointment as a reflection of his extensive political experience and leadership skills, which will be crucial in coordinating the party's campaign and mobilizing support for the upcoming elections. He expressed confidence in Yari's capability to fulfill the responsibilities of his new role and urged him to focus on the unity and progress of the party.

Yusuf also prayed for Yari's wisdom, strength, and good health in this new assignment. The APC Presidential Campaign Council was formally constituted on August 22, with President Bola Tinubu as chairman and Vice President Kashim Shettima as vice-chairman.
