Kwankwaso Jittery Over Yari's Campaign DG Appointment

The grassroots mobilization group Daga Titi Zuwa Titi, affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC), stated that former Kano State Governor Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso's remarks regarding Senator Abdul’aziz Yari's appointment as Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council reflect his political anxiety. In a statement signed by National Coordinator Comrade Jaafar Hassan, the group noted Kwankwaso's public appeal for Yari to reconsider his role as significant, suggesting that it indicates Yari's importance in the political landscape.

They emphasized that Yari, a former two-term governor of Zamfara State, former Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, and current senator, possesses a broad political network and experience crucial for mobilizing support across Nigeria. The group criticized Kwankwaso for his political inconsistency, asserting that Yari's appointment demonstrates the confidence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC leadership in his capabilities.

They concluded that Kwankwaso's reaction inadvertently underscores Yari's significance in the upcoming campaign.
