Kano Governor Abba Yusuf to Rejoin APC, Strengthens Ties for State Development

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf is scheduled to formally rejoin the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday after resigning from the New Nigeria People's Party. Yusuf, who initially joined the APC in 2014 and won the party's primary election for the Kano Central Senatorial seat, will register alongside 22 members of the Kano State House of Assembly, eight members of the House of Representatives, and 44 local government chairmen.

His decision to return to the APC is aimed at enhancing cooperation with the federal government to accelerate infrastructure development, improve security coordination, and enhance service delivery across Kano State. The move is also seen as a step towards consolidating political stability and unity in Kano.

Governor Yusuf is expected to participate in the APC's electronic registration exercise in Kano. The official confirmation of his return to the APC was received by the governor from the APC's national chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda.
