Teacher Donates N30,000 Salary to Support Education in Kano

Abubakar Musa, a primary school teacher in Kano State, donated his entire monthly salary of N30,000 to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf. This gesture was made to support the governor's ongoing efforts to revitalize the education sector.

Musa described the donation as a personal token of appreciation for the governor's significant improvements in education since the current administration took office. The donation occurred during an event where Governor Yusuf honored various groups for their developmental strides.

The act moved the governor to tears, as he described Musa's selfless act as humbling and motivating. The entire state executive council acknowledged Musa's contribution with a standing ovation.

Governor Yusuf has previously committed to addressing the welfare of workers and retirees, having cleared a backlog of pension and gratuity arrears amounting to N32 billion inherited from previous administrations.
