Kano Governor Warns Commissioners on Performance Standards

On the occasion of the Hawan Nasarawa Sallah homage in Kano, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State issued a stern warning to his commissioners and special advisers regarding their performance. He stated that those who fail to meet expectations must either improve or be prepared to vacate their offices.

This warning was communicated through a statement by his spokesperson, Sunusi Batur Dawakin Tofa. Governor Yusuf emphasized that accountability and performance remain key priorities for his administration, urging members of the State Executive Council to intensify efforts to achieve the government's developmental objectives.

He expressed that negligence, poor performance, and disloyalty among political appointees would not be tolerated. However, he commended Commissioner of Environment Dahir Hashim for his hard work and innovation, recognizing him as one of the youngest members of the State Executive Council who has demonstrated creativity and dedication to the government's programs.
