Kano Governor's Aide Blames Galadima for Kwankwaso's Setbacks

Sunusi Batur, serving as the director of media communications for Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, has publicly accused Engr. Buba Galadima of being responsible for the political setbacks faced by former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

During a radio program in Kano, Batur described Galadima as a political hanger-on whose alliances have failed to yield meaningful political impact. He claimed that Galadima's associations have contributed to Kwankwaso's declining political fortunes, suggesting that his alliances have turned Kwankwaso's political career into a near nonentity.

Batur further criticized Galadima for his previous failures during former President Muhammadu Buhari's unsuccessful presidential bid, contrasting it with Buhari's eventual electoral success, which he attributed to distancing from Galadima. He also noted that Galadima has failed to establish a significant political base in his hometown of Bade, Yobe State, relying instead on political patronage in Abuja.

As political realignments continue ahead of the 2027 general elections, Galadima has not publicly responded to these allegations at the time of this report.
