Mustapha Musa Kwankwaso Named NDC Running Mate for 2027

The Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) has officially announced Mustapha Musa Kwankwaso as the running mate for its governorship candidate, Aminu Gwarzo, in the upcoming 2027 elections in Kano State. The announcement was made on a Monday following a meeting of party stakeholders at the residence of former governor Dr.

Rabiu Kwankwaso. Gwarzo stated that the selection of Mustapha Kwankwaso, son of the party's national leader and Kwankwasiyya Movement founder, was the result of extensive consultations among party leaders and stakeholders.

Gwarzo emphasized that Mustapha's experience in public service and his grassroots appeal would significantly strengthen the party's ticket. The decision aims to enhance the NDC's political structure and mobilization efforts ahead of the elections.

Gwarzo expressed confidence in Mustapha's ability to contribute meaningfully to the administration's agenda, highlighting the importance of youth empowerment and economic growth in the party's vision for Kano State.
