Kano Pillars, Kada Emeralds Win 2026 Beach Volleyball Cup

The 2026 President Beach Volleyball Cup concluded with Kano Pillars and Kada Emeralds claiming victory in their respective categories at the Murtala Mohammed Square Beach Court in Kaduna. In the women's final, Kada Emeralds triumphed over Team Anista with a score of 2-1, showcasing tactical discipline and resilience.

The men's final saw Kano Pillars overpower Savannah Spikers in straight sets, winning 2-0, with scores of 21-18 in the first set and 21-13 in the second set. Engr Musa Nimrod, President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, expressed satisfaction with the level of competition and emphasized plans to reposition beach volleyball in the country.

He announced that clubs would share players within states and highlighted the importance of proper screening to ensure professionalism. Professor Benjamin commended the organization of the tournament, which he noted positively engaged youth.

Kano Pillars' Augustin Uchenna described the victory as a reward for consistent training and teamwork.
