Kano State Revenue Hits N102 Billion in 2025

The Kano State Internal Revenue Service (KIRS) reported a remarkable revenue generation of N102 billion for the year 2025, which represents 120% of its annual target. This significant increase from the N74 billion generated in 2024 highlights improvements in compliance and the effectiveness of the agency's steady progress system.

Dr. Zaid Abubakar, the Chairman of KIRS, made this announcement during the agency's annual dinner award night held over the weekend. He emphasized that the revenue growth is a result of enhanced taxpayer engagement and advancements in digital transformation within the agency.

Hajiya Fatima Ahmad Nuhu, the Executive Director of Human Resources at KIRS, congratulated the award recipients and expressed that the trust award would inspire continued efforts towards achieving the ambitious target of N200 billion in internally generated revenue. The event served to recognize the commitment and dedication of staff across various categories for their exceptional performance.
