Kano Women Protest Zaura's Exclusion from APC Race

On Wednesday, hundreds of women in Kano staged a protest against the exclusion of Abdulsalam Abdulkarim Zaura from the APC senatorial race for the Kano Central ticket. The demonstration, organized by the Kano Women Mobilis Forum and led by Binta Rabiu Zaura, took place in major streets of Kano metropolis.

The protesters chanted slogans such as "No Zaura, No Vote" and carried placards demanding justice for Zaura, who they believe deserves recognition for his loyalty and contributions to the party. The rally occurred amid rising political tensions within the APC regarding the senatorial ticket, particularly following the emergence of former governor Ibrahim Shekarau as a consensus candidate.

Binta Rabiu Zaura urged President Bola Tinubu, the APC national leader, to intervene in the political situation in Kano to ensure a transparent and inclusive process. The protest reflects concerns that loyal party members may lose interest in participating in politics if justice is not served.
