Tinubu's Road Rehabilitation Approval Commended by Karimi

Sundai Steve Karimi, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Services and representative of Kogi West Senatorial District, praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the approval of the rehabilitation of two major federal roads connecting Kogi, Kwara, and Ekiti states. This approval is part of 27 major road projects sanctioned by the Federal Executive Council (FEC) during a meeting chaired by President Tinubu on June 29, 2026.

The federal government allocated a total of N3.9 trillion for road infrastructure nationwide, with N104 billion designated for the Kogi-Kwara roads and N24.7 billion earmarked for the Kabba-Ifaki-Ado Ekiti road. Karimi emphasized the importance of these roads in improving transportation and economic activities across the region, which have suffered from neglect.

He expressed optimism that ongoing investments in road infrastructure would enhance safety and comfort for road users and reduce criminal activities associated with poor road conditions. Karimi also acknowledged the support of his constituents and urged continued backing for Tinubu's re-election bid in the 2027 presidential election.
