Tinubu Approves Ado-Ijan-Ilumoba-Ikol Road Reconstruction

President Bola Tinubu approved the reconstruction of the Ado-Ijan-Ilumoba-Ikol road in Ekiti State, as confirmed in a statement by Governor Yinka Oyebode on Wednesday. The approval letter, dated July 1, 2026, was sent to the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, and the Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service, Zach Adedeji.

This project is part of the Renewed Hope Infrastructure Project Fund initiated by the federal government. The road will enhance connectivity in the southwest region and provide access to key institutions such as the Federal Polytechnic Afe Babalola University and the Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport.

Governor Oyebode thanked President Tinubu for fulfilling his promise to intervene in road infrastructure, highlighting the administration's commitment to upgrading infrastructure across the country. The Oyebode administration has constructed 285 kilometers of inter-city and intra-city roads, including a 1.2-kilometer flyover and 135 kilometers of rural roads, in collaboration with the federal government and international development partners.
