Teenager Umar Sa’adu Moba Allegedly Killed After Ransom

Umar Sa’adu Moba, a 15-year-old boy from Jibia Local Government Area, was allegedly killed by three men (Abdullahi Ali, Mahammadu Ali, and Mahammadu Sani) who lured him into the bush and handed him over to a suspected kidnapping kingpin, Kachalla Abu, in Katsina State. The incident occurred in Labo village, Batsari Local Government Area.
The kingpin reportedly collected N70 million in ransom for the boy's release and allocated N17 million to the three suspects as their share. However, fearing that Umar would identify them, the suspects allegedly decided to kill him.
Following an agreement with the boy’s family for his release, the kingpin disclosed the suspects' involvement and devised a plan to lure them back under the pretext of giving them more money. Upon their arrival, the suspects were apprehended, and the kingpin made a public confession in a viral video.
The circumstances surrounding the killing of the suspects remain unverified, and further details from security agencies are awaited.
