Katsina Police Arrest Man for Kidnapping Grandfather

The Katsina State Police Command arrested 22-year-old Sani Dikko for allegedly conspiring with two accomplices, Kabir Sani and Salisu Bello, to kidnap his grandfather, Alhaji Lawal. The arrest occurred on September 12, 2026, during a patrol in Marabar Shema Village, Dutsin-Ma Local Government Area, following credible intelligence.

Dikko reportedly conspired with the others to abduct Alhaji Lawal approximately three weeks prior, leading to a ransom demand of N3 million for his release. The victim was held captive for 16 days before the ransom was paid.

Dikko confessed to his involvement in the crime, and all three suspects remain in custody as investigations continue to uncover further details of their criminal activities and any additional accomplices. The police also rescued two women during this operation.
