Katsina Governor Radda Supports Community Bandit Negotiations

Dikko Radda, the Governor of Katsina State, stated that communities permitted to negotiate with bandits have experienced peace for a year. In an interview with Channels Television's Sunrise Daily, Radda explained that these negotiations were initiated to restore peace in the state.

He acknowledged that while the communities have successfully negotiated with bandits, it is crucial for the bandits to lay down their arms. Radda noted that the communities approached him for permission to negotiate, expressing their readiness to engage with the bandits to ensure their safety and security.

He emphasized that the negotiations have led to a lack of attacks in the areas involved. The governor affirmed his support for the communities' efforts to negotiate, stating that he does not want to interfere as long as they seek peace and security.

He reiterated that the goal is to allow communities to farm and move freely without fear.
