Katsina Launches Kaseda Digital Marketplace for MSMEs

On October 2023, Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda unveiled the Kaseda digital marketplace during the 2026 International MSME Day celebration. This platform is designed as a strategic intervention to help local businesses reach customers across Nigeria and the international market.

The Secretary to the State Government, Garba Faskari, emphasized that MSMEs are the backbone of the global economy, accounting for 90% of businesses worldwide and creating a significant number of employment opportunities. The administration prioritizes policies and programs that support entrepreneurs, manufacturers, artisans, farmers, women, and young people.

The Kaseda digital marketplace provides an online platform for entrepreneurs to showcase their products and receive orders, thereby strengthening brand visibility and connecting them with a wider customer base. Kaseda Babangida Kabir Ruma, Director General of the Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency, noted that every registered vendor will receive a grant of N50,000 to support business expansion, alongside improved access to financing through partnerships with commercial banks like Sterling Bank.
