Kebbi State Dissolves AFUSTA Council, Appoints Administrator

The Kebbi State government has officially dissolved the governing council of Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology, Aliero (AFUSTA). This decision follows recommendations from a panel that reviewed the institution's affairs.

The state executive council approved this action, as stated in a release by the Secretary to the State Government, Yakubu Bala Tafida. As part of this restructuring, the current Vice Chancellor, two Deputy Vice Chancellors, the Registrar, and the Bursar have been relieved of their duties.

In their place, Professor Samaila Arzika Mungadi has been appointed as the sole administrator of the university. He is expected to oversee the institution's affairs until a new governing council is constituted and new principal officers are appointed.

This decision will take effect on April 30, 2026.
