Kebbi State Government Dismisses AFUSTA Vice Chancellor

The Kebbi State government has officially sacked Prof. Danshehu Bagudu from his position as Vice Chancellor of Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology, Aliero (AFUSTA).

This decision was announced in a statement issued by Yakubu Bala Tafida, the Secretary to the State Government. Alongside Bagudu, five top administrative officials were also dismissed.

This action follows the outcomes of a recent investigation into the affairs of the university, which was conducted by a panel set up by the state government. The decision was made during a meeting of the State Executive Council, which reviewed the recommendations contained in the panel's report.

The investigation's findings influenced the decision, which also included the dismissal of two Deputy Vice Chancellors, the Registrar, and the Bursar, indicating a significant overhaul of the university's leadership.
