Kebbi PDP Confirms Attendance at Wike-Backed Convention

The Kebbi State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has confirmed its attendance at the forthcoming national convention, which is supported by Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory. Abubakar Kalgo, the state secretary of the party, disclosed this information during an interview with a Channel Television correspondent in Birnin Kebbi on Saturday.

The decision to attend the convention was made unanimously by the party's stakeholders in Kebbi State, reflecting their commitment to remain actively engaged in national party activities despite ongoing internal disagreements affecting the party. The convention is scheduled to take place in Abuja on Sunday and Monday.

Additionally, the Kebbi PDP has rejected the emergence of Kabiru Tanimu as the national chairman during a convention held in Ibadan in November, citing a lack of active involvement and failure to consult key stakeholders within the state.
