Taraba Governor Declares Karim Lamido LG Special Security Area Amid Rising Violence

Taraba State Governor Dr. Agbu Kefa has declared Karim Lamido Local Government in Taraba State a special area of security concern following escalating violence and insecurity.

The governor's executive order aims to restore peace, protect lives and properties, and create a conducive environment for economic and social activities. This decision comes in response to recurring clashes, banditry, attacks, and violent conflicts between farmers and herders in the area.

The state government plans to deploy additional security personnel, coordinate with local defense outfits, and establish committees to address the root causes of insecurity.
