Kwara Villagers Plead for Rescue in Viral Kidnapping Video

A viral video has surfaced showing residents from Woro, a community in the Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, pleading for rescue following their abduction. The footage, obtained by a correspondent on Friday, follows an earlier clip released in mid-February that highlighted severe attacks in the area.

In the video, women and children, believed to be abducted during the assault, are seen seated with armed men, speaking in Hausa. An elderly woman confirms that the victims are from Woro, and the abduction is suspected to be linked to the group Ti Jama Atu Ahli Sunna Lidda Awati Wal Jihad.

The earlier footage drew widespread condemnation and challenged government figures, as the victims insist that the number of abducted individuals is significantly higher than what has been officially reported. The community is urgently appealing for government intervention to rescue those held captive.
