Igboho Urges Iru Ekun Network to Combat Crime in South West

On September 12, 2026, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, inaugurated the Lagos State chapter of the Iru Ekun Security Network, urging volunteers across Lagos, Osun, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, and Ekiti states to eradicate kidnapping, banditry, and other criminal activities. Igboho stated that the reduction in such crimes must be maintained within legal boundaries.

He described the Iru Ekun Security Network as essential for confronting threats to peace in the South West and acknowledged the support from the Police, Department of State Service (DSS), and other paramilitary agencies in their operations. Igboho emphasized that the initiative has led to a decrease in abductions and conflicts, asserting that it would continue beyond President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration.

He cautioned volunteers to avoid interfering in civil matters and to uphold the organization's credibility through responsible conduct.
