Kene Ndunwa to Receive AMTY Innovator of the Year Award

Kene Ndunwa, the co-founder of Kike AI, has been nominated for the AMTY Innovator of the Year Award, recognizing his significant contributions to artificial intelligence and clean energy technology. Ndunwa's work focuses on developing technology-driven solutions to tackle challenges related to energy access, transportation, and environmental sustainability.

He co-founded Tynuev, a technology company that promotes electric mobility across Nigeria and Africa, and has been instrumental in addressing issues within the electric vehicle value chain, including infrastructure development and standardization. Kike AI has developed a carbon intelligence platform that transforms the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) ecosystem by enabling real-time monitoring of gas consumption and predicting refill schedules.

The platform has served over 9,000 users and expanded operations to Ghana and India. Notably, Ndunwa's technology provided live gas usage data during chef Hilda Baci's Guinness World Record cooking marathon in Lagos.

His entrepreneurial journey began in 2018, focusing on recycling discarded laptop batteries into portable power banks.
