Oyo Deputy Speaker Fadeyi Resigns from PDP Ahead of 2027

Fadeyi, the Deputy Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, has officially resigned from the People's Democratic Party (PDP). In his resignation letter addressed to the PDP chairman of Ward 8 in Ona Ara Local Government Area, he cited persistent internal crises within the party as the reason for his departure.

Fadeyi specifically requested that the PDP delete his records from its official database, stating that this decision was necessary to enable him to pursue his political ambitions on a different platform ahead of the 2027 general elections. Despite his resignation, Fadeyi expressed gratitude for the opportunities he enjoyed during his time as a member of the PDP.

The resignation letter was made available to journalists on Friday.
