Nigerian Minister Wale Edun Honored by King Charles III with Prestigious Award

King Charles III of the United Kingdom has bestowed the Grand Commander of the Victorian Order (CVO) on Nigerian Minister Wale Edun for his exceptional contributions to international Commonwealth affairs, especially in youth development. Edun becomes the first Nigerian to receive this honor since Chief Emeka Anyaoku.

President Bola Tinubu and special advisor Bayo Onanuga have commended Edun's recognition. The award recognizes Edun's long-standing work with the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation, supporting youth development globally, including in Nigeria.
