King Charles III Welcomes Nigeria's New High Commissioner

On Wednesday, King Charles III received Aminu Muhammad Dalhatu, the newly appointed Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, at St James’s Palace in London. During the ceremony, Dalhatu presented his letter of credence, which officially confirms his appointment as Nigeria's representative in the UK.

Accompanied by his wife, Dalhatu's presentation of the letter is a traditional diplomatic protocol that allows him to assume full diplomatic responsibilities. The event is seen as a significant milestone in Nigeria-UK relations, especially following President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's recent state visit to Windsor Castle, which aimed to expand trade and bilateral cooperation between the two nations.

The Nigerian British Chamber of Commerce expressed confidence in Dalhatu's ability to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in areas such as trade, investment, education, and cultural exchange.
