Kogi State to Sign MoUs with 15 Pharmaceutical Companies

The Executive Secretary of Kogi State Drugs and Medical Supplies Management Agency, Pharm Ibrahim Salamat Onize, revealed plans to sign Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with 15 pharmaceutical companies to enhance drug supply chain management. The MoUs aim to ensure a sustainable availability of medical supplies at reduced prices while maintaining quality.

The agency also intends to engage pharmaceutical distributors and partner with the Bureau of Public Procurement to boost local economic participation and revenue generation. Additionally, the state government plans to establish a quality control laboratory to enhance drug testing and ensure the availability of quality medical consumables in state health facilities.
