Kogi Governor Ododo Launches APC Conflict Resolution Committee

Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo inaugurated the All Progressives Congress (APC) Peace and Conflict Resolution Committee, comprising 17 members and chaired by former Governor Capt Idris Ichala Wada. During the inauguration, Governor Ododo tasked the committee with reconciling aggrieved party members and restoring unity within the party in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

He emphasized the importance of dialogue and reconciliation over violence, recalling his outreach to political leaders across various affiliations after becoming the APC candidate in the 2023 governorship election. The Governor noted that the APC's strength in Kogi State relies on its ability to accommodate diverse interests.

He expressed confidence in the party's potential for a stronger performance in the upcoming elections, citing support from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration, which has facilitated significant projects in the state. Ododo urged the committee to identify disputes within the party and encourage forgiveness among members for the greater interest of both the party and the state.
