Kogi Troops Neutralize Terrorist in Kabba/Bunu LGA

On March 23, 2026, at approximately 1400 hours, troops from the 12 Brigade engaged in a patrol in the Odoap Adankolo Forest within the Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area (LGA) of Kogi State. During this operation, the patrol team encountered a fleeing suspect, leading to a confrontation in which the individual was neutralized.

Preliminary investigations identified the neutralized individual as a notorious terrorist known for involvement in providing intelligence for kidnapping operations and participating in cattle rustling activities. The military reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining aggressive patrols and intelligence-led operations aimed at curbing criminal activities and protecting residents in the area.
