Troops Arrest Terror Logistics Couriers in Kogi State

On a Monday operation, Nigerian troops from the 12 Brigade arrested two suspected terrorist logistics couriers along the Obajana-Kabba road in the Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State. The operation was disclosed by security expert Zagazola Makama, who cited credible intelligence regarding the movement of the suspects.

The troops mounted a snap checkpoint and intercepted a vehicle carrying the suspects en route to Obajana from Makurdi. A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of a sack containing 314 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition and three AK-47 magazines, which were concealed behind the driver's seat.

Additionally, two mobile phones, a driver's license, a national identification number slip, and an identification card belonging to the suspects were also recovered. The items are currently in military custody for further investigation, and the arrest is part of ongoing efforts to combat terrorism in the region.
