Troops Destroy Terrorist Camp in Kogi, Intercept Courier

On April 16, troops from the 12 Brigade, in conjunction with police and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), executed an operation in Kogi State following credible intelligence regarding the presence of a suspected terrorist camp in the Ejiba and Ofi communities. The operation, which took place in the early hours, involved mobilizing from the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Egb.

During the operation, troops intercepted a suspected logistics courier who was transporting food items to the camp via motorcycle. However, the suspects fled upon sighting the troops, abandoning the motorcycle and its contents.

The troops proceeded to the location and successfully destroyed the suspected terrorist camp. No contact was made with the terrorists during the operation.
