Troops Arrest Two Suspected Terrorists in Kogi State

On April 22, 2023, at approximately 1:00 PM, troops from the Nigerian Army's 12 Brigade, deployed in Dankolo, arrested two suspected terrorists during a routine patrol in the Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State. The apprehension occurred along Adankolo Road, where the suspects claimed to have been invited to the area for cattle rearing.

However, their provided civilian contact number could not be reached. The items recovered from the suspects included two mobile phones, two mobile phone batteries, a charm, and a sum of 1,500 naira.

These items are currently in the custody of the 12 Mechanised Infantry Regiment for further investigation and necessary action. This operation is part of ongoing efforts to enhance security and prevent criminal activities in the area.
