Kogi State Vows Justice After Bandit Attack Kills Three

The Kogi State Government has pledged to ensure justice after a bandit attack in Iluk Community, Kabba Bunu Local Government Area, which resulted in the deaths of three residents. Kingsley Fanwo, the state commissioner for information, expressed deep sadness over the incident and extended condolences to the victims' families.

The attack, carried out by individuals in military uniforms, disrupted the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination. Bandits began their assault as students were in the bush, leading to a fierce gun battle between security forces and the attackers.

Local vigilante hunters and military personnel were commended for their swift response, which prevented further casualties and mass abduction. Security forces managed to rescue students unharmed during the operation, while a manhunt has been launched for the fleeing suspects.

The Kogi State Government emphasized its commitment to combating terrorism and criminal elements that threaten peace and security in the state.
