Kunav Appointees Back Alia's Reforms in Benue State

Kunav appointees passed a confidence vote in support of Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia, affirming their loyalty to his administration during a press conference held in Makurdi. Solomon Semaka, addressing journalists on behalf of the Kunav League, highlighted Alia's leadership in implementing reforms across various sectors, including infrastructure development and economic revitalization.

The administration's achievements include the construction of major urban infrastructure projects, such as underpasses and improved road networks, as well as initiatives aimed at enhancing the state's investment climate and worker welfare. The appointees commended the regular payment of salaries and pensions, which has restored confidence among civil servants and retirees.

They also praised reforms in the education sector, including the provision of monthly grants for school upgrades and the recruitment of 9,000 teachers. Additionally, efforts to revive the historically significant Taraku Mill were recognized, alongside initiatives to boost local production and create jobs through various manufacturing projects.
