Alia Appoints Ngbajim to Benue Assembly Service Commission

On a recent date, Rev. Fr.

Hyacinth Alia, the Governor of Benue State, approved the appointment of Dr. Anya Godwin Ngbajim as a member of the Benue State House of Assembly Service Commission.

This appointment comes after the vacancy created by the removal of former member Dorca Faeren Mbatiav. Governor Alia's decision is part of his commitment to strengthen governance by appointing competent and experienced individuals to fill vacancies in public institutions.

Dr. Ngbajim is a seasoned administrator and core unionist with an impressive record of service.

He holds a bachelor's degree in technical education, a master's degree in educational administration and planning, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in educational administration. Ngbajim began his career in local teaching service and joined the Benue State Civil Service, eventually rising to become the chairman of the Benue State Civil Service Commission from 2007 to 2015.

He also served two terms as the state chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers and two terms as the state chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress. Governor Alia expressed confidence that Ngbajim's extensive experience and leadership qualities will significantly enhance the performance of the Benue State House of Assembly Service Commission.

The governor has forwarded Ngbajim's name to the Benue State House of Assembly for confirmation, in accordance with the provisions of the law. Ngbajim hails from Mbaivend Ushongo Local Government Area in Benue State.
