Kwankwasiyya Movement Calls for Unity Ahead of 2027 Elections

The Kwankwasiyya Movement has issued a statement urging unity and discipline among its members in preparation for the 2027 general elections. The statement, released by spokesperson Hon.

Habibu Sale on Saturday, commended members for their participation in a recently concluded consensus process across various electoral positions in Kano State. It praised aspirants who stepped down and accepted the outcomes of the process, describing their conduct as a demonstration of loyalty and political maturity.

The movement emphasized that it remains a disciplined, ideologically driven political entity in Nigeria. It specifically commended Senator Rufai Sani for supporting the consensus arrangement and acknowledged former Governor Senator Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya for accepting the movement's decision regarding candidates for Kano South.

The statement congratulated the emerging candidates, including governorship candidate Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, and urged all candidates to conduct themselves with humility, discipline, integrity, and commitment to good governance and social justice. The movement called for continued unity among members to ensure electoral success for the NDC in 2027.
