Kwankwasiyya Movement Responds to Shekarau's Allegations

The Kwankwasiyya Movement, under the leadership of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has publicly addressed allegations made by former Kano State Governor Ibrahim Shekarau. Shekarau claimed in a viral video that Kwankwaso was secretly working with Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the latter's re-election.

In response, Kwankwasiyya spokesperson Habibu Saleh Mailemo labeled Shekarau's comments as baseless and an attempt to seek political relevance. Mailemo emphasized that Shekarau should be cautious with his public statements, warning that unfounded accusations could diminish his credibility.

He also noted that Kwankwaso is known for his straightforward political dealings. Shekarau's spokesperson, Sule Ya U Sule, denied the allegations, asserting that Shekarau was not present in Kano or Abuja when the comments were supposedly made.

The controversy arises as Shekarau has recently aligned with the All Progressives Congress as a consensus candidate for the Kano Central senatorial district, having previously switched from the People's Democratic Party.
