Dr. Shehu Defects to APC, Mobilizes Diaspora Support

Dr. Usman Tijjani Shehu, a notable figure within the Kwankwasiyya political movement, has officially defected from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) to rejoin the All Progressives Congress (APC).

His decision, announced after extensive consultations with political associates and stakeholders in the Nigerian diaspora, is motivated by a desire to realign political support for national development and youth empowerment. Dr.

Shehu, who is based in the UK and works as a healthcare professional specializing in musculoskeletal disorders, has previously held significant roles within the APC, including serving as the youth leader for the APC UK chapter. He contested for a House of Representatives seat in the Gwarzo/Kabo federal constituency during the 2023 general elections on the NNPP platform.

Dr. Shehu expressed optimism for Nigeria's future and called for global support for the APC, pledging to mobilize grassroots diaspora support ahead of the 2027 elections.
