Kwankwaso Leaves NNPP to Join ADC on March 30, 2026

Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and former governor of Kano State, has finalized arrangements to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

His spokesman, Dr. Habibu Moham, confirmed that Kwankwaso will officially register with the ADC in Kano on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 12 PM.

Following this registration, members of the Kwankwasiyya movement will be directed to proceed with their registration in the ADC at the ward and local government levels. The statement emphasized the movement's commitment to advancing democratic values and contributing to the party's success.

Kwankwaso's decision reflects a dedication to the interests of the movement and the nation. The announcement comes amidst political discussions, including a meeting with Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), and other political figures during the Eid el-Fitr celebrations in Kano.
