Ganduje Acknowledges Kwankwaso's Role in His Career

Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), made remarks acknowledging Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso's influence on his political career. In a statement released on Friday by his Chief of Staff, Muhammad Garba, while performing Hajj in Saudi Arabia, Ganduje reflected on their political relationship, highlighting Kwankwaso's mentorship during his early political ascent.

He noted that Kwankwaso played a significant role in Ganduje's success, particularly during the elections for the House of Representatives and subsequent emergence as Deputy Speaker. Ganduje emphasized the importance of avoiding labels like "godfather" and "political son," urging politicians to focus on leadership qualities and the development of the people.

He recalled their collaboration from 1999 to 2015, despite later political disagreements. Ganduje also called for respect towards Abba Kabir Yusuf, the current governor of Kano, and urged politicians to prioritize peace and unity in the state.
