Danladi Confident in APC Screening for Kwara Governorship

Yakubu Danladi Salihu, the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, expressed optimism regarding his candidacy for the 2027 governorship election following his screening by the All Progressives Congress (APC). He highlighted the importance of divine guidance in his political journey, stating that God has directed him and will continue to guide him towards achieving his goals for the state.

Danladi neither confirmed nor dismissed speculations about being an 'anointed' candidate, welcoming developments that align with God's will. He emphasized his experience over the past seven years in legislative roles, which he believes equips him with the necessary skills for executive leadership.

Danladi called for unity among political actors in the Kwara North senatorial district and urged the media and public to support his aspirations through prayers, particularly for good health and strength as he prepares for the upcoming tasks. The APC is currently conducting screenings for aspirants nationwide ahead of the 2027 general elections.
