Kwara Governor Pledges N90m to Injured Soldiers

On Tuesday afternoon, Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq visited six soldiers who were injured in a recent counter-terror operation in Kaiama. The visit was part of a commitment to support the military personnel involved in the operation.

According to a statement from the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakay, Abdulrazaq announced a total pledge of N90 million to the officers. This includes N20 million designated for the families of the fallen soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice and N5 million for each of the injured soldiers.

The Governor expressed gratitude for the sacrifices made by the security forces in ensuring the safety of the country and highlighted the quality of care provided at the Intensive Care Unit of the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital, where the injured soldiers are receiving treatment.
