Kwara APC Protest Over Alleged Executive List Alteration

A crisis has emerged within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State as protesters accused party leaders of attempting to alter the executive list following a recent congress. The demonstration, which took place on a Saturday, was characterized by members capturing the protest on social media, alleging that the party leadership planned to replace names on the executive list without opposition.

Protesters argued that the congress was conducted in line with the directives from the national leadership of the APC. They called for urgent intervention from the national leadership to ensure the authenticity of the executive list, warning that tampering with the congress results could deepen divisions within the party and destabilize its structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In response, APC state chairman Fagbemi dismissed the protesters' claims as speculation and advised members to channel their grievances through appropriate party structures rather than staging protests.
