Kwara APC Crisis: Governor's Camp Heads to Abuja

The political crisis within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State has intensified as Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's faction prepares to storm the party's national headquarters in Abuja on Monday. This meeting aims to address the leadership crisis triggered by allegations of the imposition of Yakubu Danladi Salihu as the party's gubernatorial candidate for the 2027 general elections.

The governor's camp, led by Princ Sundai Fagbemi and including former PDP secretary Razaq Lawal and Abdullateef Alakawa, is seeking intervention from the national leadership of the APC. The delegation, which is expected to depart Ilorin aboard a charter flight, aims to secure support for the governor's position amid growing dissent within the party.
