Kwara APC Announces Governorship Primary Modalities

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, led by Musiliu Obanikoro, has unveiled the modalities for the governorship primary election, which is set to ensure a free, fair, and transparent process. The primary, originally scheduled for Thursday, has been postponed, as announced by Felix Morka, the APC National Public Secretary.

The election will now take place alongside the state assembly primary in Bauchi State. Voting materials will be distributed on Friday, with the voting process commencing simultaneously across 16 local government areas.

Obanikoro stated that the committee is fully prepared to conduct the election in strict compliance with the guidelines established by the APC national headquarters. Efforts have been made to encourage consensus among aspirants, including Yahaya Seriki, who is reported to be the preferred candidate of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

Several aspirants, including Prof. Wale Sulaiman and Dr.

Toyin Alabi, have withdrawn from the race, while the committee has urged stakeholders to conduct themselves peacefully.
